From our origins to our idea of future

History and past

Since 1598

The Sompunt Farm is one of the oldest farms in the valley. Also named "ciastlin" wich means "small castle". The house, the old wood oven and watermill are under historical protection. The house is characterized by the internal arches, from the traditional "Stube" to the holy chapel.

History and past

Between wars and secrets

Located in a stretegic spot, the Castlunger house was used from the austrian Emperor Franz Joseph as his summer residence. In World War I a lazaret for wounded soldiers was stationed there. Downstairs there's a "prison", and then a legend talks about the existence of a tunnel leading to the "Colz" castle in La Villa. So much history.

our vision of agriculture and hospitality in the future

How else should farming be if not in harmony with nature. While we work the land with our hands and are among the animals, we realize that this is not "obvious" but we talk about commitment and devotion. Agriculture therefore cannot become excessive but it must find the balance between soil and people. Just as it is our duty to make our guests understand that everything they see is due thanks to many small farmers and not to big entrepreneurs. Therefore, the hospitality of the future will be based on many small realities characterized by uniqueness and individuals and not by mass and numbers.
